Regina McConnell was born and raised in Muncie, IN. She sought a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University, and her Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, IN. She interned for the Indiana Department of Public Access Counselor (the Freedom of Information Office of the Indiana State Government), and for CMG Worldwide, an Intellectual Property marketing firm representing celebrity individuals such as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. She recently co-authored a book called "The Soul of Success: Vol II" with Jack Canfield (author of "Chicken Soup for the Soul") which was published in 2015. She became a lawyer to help protect people (especially children), and has spent countless hours volunteering to make a difference in the lives of kids. While working for the Children’s Attorney Project. She provides counsel, advice, and representation to abused and neglected children who are in foster care placement, institutions, or are wards of the State. While working for Reach For Youth, a teen court pre-trial diversion program, she helped teenagers prepare their case for "trial" in front of this alternative court. While working as a Fuse Leader, she serves as a mentor and leader to her team of Junior High students in the youth program of Central Christian Church. While working for S.T.R.I.V.E., she led a team of students at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission where they organized donated food, cleaned the facility, and sorted money donated to the organization from fountains around the Las Vegas Valley. While working for R.C.S. Mentoring, she met once per week with an at-risk elementary aged student to help increase that child's academic performance, self-esteem, and emotional development by using the time to encourage good attendance in school, promote literacy, build character, strengthen their personal confidence, and enhance their joy of learning. Her professional activities include membership in Phi Delta Phi, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Clark County Bar Association, the Nevada American Inn of Court, and the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys. She is a frequent author and speaker at legal seminars educating other attorneys. Some of her seminars include Skip Tracing in Nevada (2005), Insurance Coverage Trends (2006), Collection Law from Start to Finish (2007), and Handling the Auto Injury Claim (2008). In addition to her volunteer and professional commitments, she is a mother to three young children.
