Danielle Chio was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 2003, started a career as a prosecutor for the City of Las Vegas, and in 2005, started at the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. In 2009, for the Special Victim’s Unit, she prosecuted sexual & physical child & adult cases. In 2012 she was promoted to Team Chief of the Gang Unit and prosecuted violent offenders in Clark County. She worked over 50 felony jury trials & brought justice to hundreds of victims. Her work at the Gang Unit also included finding alternatives to incarceration. She worked with Hope for Prisoners and participated in a joint study between UNLV & University of Cincinnati. In 2015, she graduated from Leadership Las Vegas class of 2015. In 2017, she got married and became the stepmother to two fabulous young women.
