Christopher Cannon earned his law degree from UNLV. During law school he gained experience with the City of Henderson City Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor and with the Public Defender’s Office; and, worked at UNLV’s Immigration Clinic representing immigrants. After graduating, he worked as a union representative for the North Las Vegas Police Officers Association, representing officers accused of misconduct in administrative hearings, use of force boards, vehicle collision reviews, termination hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and District Court. He operated his own law firm handling employment, family, and criminal cases, and appeared before the District Court, the Nevada Court of Appeals, and the Nevada Supreme Court. He later served as general counsel for the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers, assisting unions with contract bargaining, termination arbitrations, and internal affairs hearings. He has done pro bono work with Nevada Legal Services and was named pro bono attorney of the year in 2020.
