Alex Quagge grew up in Southern Nevada. Before his father joined the Marine Corps, he was a proud retail clerks union member. When he was young, his family lived on Oʻahu, first in Kāneʻohe on the windward side of the island and later in Pearl City, where he attended Pearl City Elementary School.
