District Court Judge Bryce Duckworth entered decree of divorce, citing testimony from the Mother, Father, and forensic accountant Jennifer Allen of Anthem Forensics, whose analysis addressed potential community interests in the Father's premarital business and real estate assets. Judge Duckworth ordered the Father's business proceeds to be treated as his sole and separate property, but directed division of qualifying joint accounts, retirement interests, and the equity in the marital residence to be treated as marital property and divided equally. Judge Duckworth also ordered the Father to pay the Mother child and spousal support in the amount of $961 and $2,000 per month, respectively. The Court left any requests for attorney fees and costs to be raised in a post-judgment request. Separately, the Mother sought expedited review of an emergency motion to confirm temporary arrangements after the divorce decree. Judge Duckworth declined to maintain the temporary arrangement, finding no adequate basis to revisit the substantial issues disposed of in the decree, but accepting the Father's offer to advance funds to support the Mother's relocation. Applying the disparity-of-resources analysis described in Sargeant v. Sargeant, the Court ordered the Father to pay $30,304 towards the Mother's attorney’s fees within 45 days. The parents filed an appeal and cross appeal, with the Father seeking to pause Mother's enforcement efforts by seeking a stay. Judge Duckworth granted a stay as to all issues on appeal, citing his frustration's with appellate rulings that caused him to question whether his ruling would survive review. Luke Busby, on behalf of Our Nevada Judges, Inc., filed a motion to unseal, citing a recently published opinion that struck down a law allowing parties to demand closed proceedings on demand. Judge Duckworth granted the unopposed motion.

Wilson, admitted portions of the counterclaim addressing residency, the marriage, the children, and child support; and, denying the remaining allegations, including those concerning the Father's requested custody arrangement and his position on the premarital agreement.
